Caran d'Ache grafcube are pure, pressed graphite bars in several hardnesses. They are suitable for creating quick expressive sketches or for filling large areas using the entire surface of a solid. After sharpening with a knife, you can draw the fine lines needed to create precise sketches. Graphite powder obtained during planing can be mixed with water and applied with a brush, obtaining interesting light and shade effects. The bars have a high lightfastness, both when dry and mixed with water.
