Watercolor paints are water-based paints used for painting on paper, which are characterized by the purity and transparency of color spots.
The paints from the Giotto Aquarelli set are in the form of dry buttons with a diameter of 23mm placed in a plastic package. After wetting with water, paints are ready for use almost immediately, and depending on the method of use (e.g. the amount of water added), various effects can be obtained.
The set includes 36 colors distinguished by their clarity and intensity (which can be toned down by adding white paint to them) and a brush. The lid of the package is a palette for mixing paints. Watercolors can be used in combination with other techniques (tempera paints, poster paints and wax crayons).
These paints will be used mainly by school children and teenagers starting their art education. Due to the small size and handiness, the packages can be easily transported, e.g. in school bags, and stored for a long time without the fear of changing their properties.
