Damar vernacular is one of the oldest products used to work with oil paints. Varnish is obtained from purified natural resin dissolved in turpentine. The product held for a long time in the container may leave a slight sediment on the bottom. But this does not in any way weaken its properties. Just shake the container before use. Apply on a soft, smooth brush. It is recommended to apply the layers alternately so that there are no traces of the brush. Vernis has a straw-amber colour and is often used to decorate and give an antique look. It tends to yellow out in time. It gives the image an extremely glossy effect. This product must only be used in well-ventilated areas as it contains terpenic acid.
