The Clairefontaine Fontaine Watercolour Cold-Pressed Block is made entirely of cotton paper. Natural white, no bleach, gelatin coated all over. Fine-grained paper works great in watercolor painting, perfectly bringing out the colors. Glued on 4 sides. The block has 10 sheets with a weight of 640 grams.

AQUARIUS watercolors are characterized by very high lightfastness - min. 7, which means a minimum of 100 years of durability with proper work exposure.

Typically, paints composed of two or more pigments may delaminate. This is due to the physical forces at work between the ink components, the differences in the size of the individual grains and the sedimentation rate, resulting in an uneven distribution of the pigments in the water stain and, consequently, also on the paper.

The cassettes contain a removable inner part where full cubes or semi-cubes can be used. In closed wings, the palette is embossed, making the palette ideally suited to field work. The inside of the cassette is covered with durable white enamel, and the outside with black satin paint.
