Thanks to this technique, the fibers are evenly distributed, and the paper is more stable and resistant to deformation. This dimensional stability allows the paper to stretch evenly after soaking. Arches watercolor paper is subjected during production to a unique process of sizing with natural gelatin, which gives it unparalleled scratch resistance and ensures accurate color reproduction. Arches paper is durable in accordance with ISO 9706 and protected against mold. Its whiteness is natural, obtained without the use of optical brighteners.
