The Cobra Artist set of water-based oil paints contains carefully selected colors inspired by portraits from the film "Peasants," a production that was completely created from hand-painted images. Each of the 40,000 frames of the production was painted with Cobra Artist paints, providing the film with a unique aesthetic and color scheme. More than 100 male and female artists from Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine and Serbia worked on the project, and for 200,000 hours they faithfully reproduced the film scenes while referencing the paintings of the Young Poland period.
The paints in this series do not require the use of turpentine or mineral spirits, making them much safer for health and the environment. They are also suitable for use at home and in rooms that do not have good ventilation. Their high density ensures smooth brushstrokes and proper texture. They dry faster than traditional oil paints, making it possible to complete a painting in much less time. They can be used in combination with traditional oil paints, and when mixed in a ratio of 1/4 (traditional paint) and 3/4 (Cobra), will retain the ability to be thinned with water.
