Block of Derwent Black Mixed Media Paper with a weight of 300g in A4 format contains 12 sheets of thick, medium-grain, acid-free paper. The smooth surface offers artists a deep black background that maximizes metallic colors, including pencils, paints and inks. Especially recommended for Derwent Metallics metallic pencils and opaque Derwent Pastel Shades.
Black, acid-free, medium-grained paper is a great substrate for painting techniques such as acrylic paints, gouache, tempera, and watercolors. Suitable for dry techniques such as dry pastel, graphites, pencil and watercolor crayons, oil pastels, charcoal.
Due to its high grammage, the paper is able to absorb more water than drawing paper, and is also strong enough to withstand multiple layers.
